It’s time we celebrate!

Over a year ago, Cheddars in Evansville opened and everyone talked about how “yummy” and “tasty” it was.  I love going out to eat and I told Daniel I wanted to try it, but only as a celebration for when I became pregnant.  My plan was to eat at Cheddars (for the first time) and then have Culver’s custard ice cream (for the first time).  Never did I think it would be 14 months later since I made this "vow" and I would still not have experienced Cheddars or tasted custard ice cream.

But on July 27th, 2013, Daniel and I went to Cheddars and Culver’s for our date night to CELEBRATE!  No, I am not “physically” expecting a baby at the moment, but I am “spiritually” expecting.

God has promised me several times through myself and through others (who do not know me or my situation) that I would have a son.  But more importantly, He has promised all women through His word that I would not be barren and He has healed me of all infertility issues (Exodus 23:25-26; Psalm 113:9; Isaiah 53:5; Leviticus 26:9; Psalm 103:3).  Therefore, I decided two weeks ago that Daniel and I would celebrate this promise from God as we HOPE in Him and wait expectantly for His word to be fulfilled  (Numbers 23:19).

We spent all day celebrating God’s promise—we purchased paint samples for the nursery, shopped for any cute baby items, and picked out furniture for the nursery (of course I found the most expensive set in the store).  One thing I learned is that babies are EXPENSIVE!  Daniel would just argue that I have expensive taste ;)
Our day was perfect…Cheddars was indeed tasty…Culver’s was not as good as Dairy Queen and I found out I need to start saving my money NOW for the stroller, highchair, pack and play, and furniture I picked out. haha!

I encourage you to exercise your faith in God and begin to celebrate NOW for what it is you are HOPING in God for. It was an awesome day because it lifted my spirits, and increased my faith.  I HIGHLY recommend doing this celebration.  I will be doing this again and soon.  It is also a good way to lift your spirits if you are feeling "blue" because it turns your mind onto the promise and away from the negative thoughts that the devil can throw at you.
